I noticed that some of the Na'vi have extra long bows that have reinforced tops, like Tsu'Tey.
Why is this? to strengthen the bow? or do they use it as a blade?

Is mainly to show social ranking in their society. The higher ranking you are, the better bow you get, and it comes with "add-ons" such as a blade and such.
The Na'vi say that every person is born twice.

Yeah, each bow has a different purpose, but the one Tsu'tey used was a ceremonial bow meant for the Eytukan

There are also special bows for use while riding a Banshee or Direhorse. Each has special advantages to make hunting eaiser.
